The subject is the the big question and the complement describes the answer. Then we use bullets to explain.</p>
<p>It is very helpful for me because is allows me to follow the concept that the writes intended.</p>

How does that understanding help to guide a person as he/she prepares a sermon?</a></p> <div class="bb-content-inr-wrap"><p>I think that they can be studied, broken down into smaller parts so that a concept can be seen through them.</p>
<p>You can break the concept down into a subject (question) and complement (answer) to illustrate and study the concept.</p>

Which are less dominant ideas?</a></p> <div class="bb-content-inr-wrap"><p>Probably the most dominate is materialism, things. Most work hard to get ahead so that they can have more (better/bigger home, playthings: cars, boats, etc.) things. It seems like the world says the harder you work, the more successful you become, and the more things you can collect.</p>
<p>I think the less dominant is Christianity. It breaks my heart&hellip;</p>

I have had people come up to me and ask, what made you choose this text. I preached on forgiveness once and the discussion afterward was great. Sometimes it is hard to forgive but if we wish to experience forgiveness we must be able to show forgiveness. Someone who was having a hard time forgiving&hellip;</p>

We can take the biblical concept and craft our sermon by explaining the concept to others. We don&#8217;t change that concept but explain it so that others can derive that concept from the Bible. </p>

What was there about that sermon that was so powerful?</a></p> <div class="bb-content-inr-wrap"><p>Yes, it was a sermon about the love of Jesus Christ toward us. The preacher listed several Scriptures that spoke of Christ&#8217;s love. What made it so profound for me was he said that no matter what we do, Jesus will never lean or pull away from us.</p>

Stoning others who violated the laws; we wouldn&#8217;t do that today. Again the role and dominance of males over females in the Scriptures aren&#8217;t necessarily the same as today. One example is that today woman have a greater role in affairs than they did in Scriptures. Another example would be the redeeming of relatives that took place in Scriptures. Today&#8217;s culture moves so much faster than it does in Scriptures.</p>
