In my science class, we often bring in Scripture to go over information we are covering. For example, when learning about genetics and chromosomes, we go over scripture about God creating man and woman. I would like to bring in more opportunities for students to look up their own scriptures to support truths.

The questions will be extremely helpful when creating lesson plans. I plan on typing them up and hanging them next to my desk so I can reference them when needed.

I think the educational system in the US is slowly going away from the roots of education. I think the true roots can be traced back to the parts of Classical education, and we can see that disappearing from the public education system.

I think by truly listening to your students talk about their goals, and encouraging the aspects that you see as a strength. If I see a student who is a good leader, I make sure to compliment those talents displayed.

Students have to have multiple dress code violations before getting detention. While they still get a write up, grace is shown. Also, students who are tardy too many times get an absence and detention. This gives them grace and mercy, while teaching them there is a line they should not cross.

Yes, I have. As a biology teacher, these conversations come up naturally throughout the semester. The conversations so far have gone well, but in the future I would like to have each student bring their Bible to read in instead of just discussing or reading Scripture to them myself.

YES! It is easier for young children to memorize. There is even a Bible verse about raising a child in the way they should go, and when they are old they should not part from it. Teaching young children scripture is helping build a strong foundation.

My discipline philosophy always starts on day sharing expectations and standards. After that, I try to show grace and mercy as the Lord has shown me, but I will give students warnings. I agree. The beginning of Wisdom is the fear of God, and God is love. There is scripture to back both of those claims.

The fact that Jesus is “I Am” should reinforce the idea that the entire Bible is ultimately about Jesus. Jesus even mentions during his life that Abraham would be glad to see his day. “I Am” spoke with Moses at the burning bush. It should help us see Jesus in the prophecies and understand how God set up His Church.

It is our direct line of communication to God. How are we supposed to worship, repent, or have a relationship without talking to God?

I think the best way to respond is by following the commandment to love your neighbor. Loving eachother and seeing others love you will naturally create an environment where living for Christ can grow.

If I watch the same event as my friend, and we both explain what happened, we will probably both tell a slightly different story. Our audience, purpose, and point of view will alter the over all narrative.

It’s important to see the cohesive story that all points to Jesus Christ as our Savior. The whole Bible is one big story- not two segmented points.
