The Holy Spirit points us in the correct direction since we do not have JC with us in person.</p>

No, it was prevalent in past society and cultures, but God still said it was sinful then as well. That doesn&#8217;t mean we are to be mean as we all sin. Straight people disobey God all the time and need to remember that before condemning others.</p>

Do you think such fulfillments are convincing to skeptics? Why or why not?</a></p> <div class="bb-content-inr-wrap"><p>Prophesies are a bit of a quandary as they are typically fulfilled twice. One is soon and another is later. Also sometimes the prophesies are mixed a bit, so they do not typically convince skeptics. Personal experiences typically convince more than these. During Christmas, I always read so many in Isaiah. They are so specific about Jesus:)</p>

Why or why not?</a></p> <div class="bb-content-inr-wrap"><p>Biblical prophecy gives us hope and a direction. It is ok not to understand everything. We want to get to know our Lord. So just as we want to know our husbands more to create a greater bond, we want to be in communion with God, our Savior. We don&#8217;t want to focus so much on prophecy that we miss the important characteristics and voice of God.</p>

It makes us more serious about our faith as our sins are put outs as harsh behaviour (as they should be, but sometimes we just think…”I’m forgiven and it’s not that bad to be less serious.” I love the imagery of Jesus coming in power as he came so humbly the last time.</p>

When he read Laodicuas letter, I recalled a time when I read it a few years ago. It described me as I was conforming to the world. Jesus was harsh.</p>
