In a sense, like the lecture mentioned, we are to be like children and remind God of his promises. He hasn&#8217;t forgotten us, but rather wants us to always communicate with Him. </p>

Some of them warranted/justified, some of them not. Prayer is not God&#8217;s &#8220;Customer Service&#8221; line for us. It can be that sometimes but its more about being reliant and dependent on God&#8211;staying true to His will and His plan, not our own. Prayer keeps us grounded to that fact.</p>

Intimate in the fact that, alone in a room, it&#8217;s just us and God. No audience. No making sure that we are coming off correctly and saying the &#8220;right&#8221; things. Prayer in solitude gives us the opportunity to come to God as we are, where we are.</p>
