It means I don’t have to be afraid of what the other person will reveal. I don’t have to fix their lives. God isn’t even worried about fixing all their problems. If the whole point of trials is to grow closer to God, than trials aren’t bad, they aren’t anything to be afraid of, and I can be curious because the other person’s problems aren’t mine to fix!

I tend to empathize and I can see this a a mistake because I’m essentially wanting that person to feel like they are okay – since I understand where they are coming from, then they are okay where they are.
