Or during worship time while listening to worship music and praising Him. But I also think there is a time and a place for more informal prayer, informal speaking to God and communing with Him throughout the day and throughout our lives. </p>

How can you keep from being overwhelmed in that despair?</a></p> <div class="bb-content-inr-wrap"><p>I think the only thing that will truly keep us from being overwhelmed and stuck in that despair is crying out to God and asking Him for comfort and help in our difficulties. For me, everything else I have tried has always failed to truly help me or keep me from being overwhelmed in my pain and despair.</p>

Where instead asking, ‘What now, Lord”, is a much better response because it looks at the situation and still sees God above it all. I had never thought about it this way. This perspective shows that true freedom will always come with some measure of pain. Everyone would have to lose their freedom to choose in order to live a life without pain.</p>
