Yes, I believe that God makes personal, tailor made promises to us as individuals and I believe in divine encounter. I look back on my life and see how God has protected me from the darkness of the world. I am so grateful that he did because I am now walking in the light and serving the Lord wholeheartedly.

I suffered depression after an serious accident in my life. I broke my right wrist and was in a cast for 11 months. That was a difficult time for me. But I learned how to use my left hand to drive and do things and got up and started to live life again.

God is in complete control. We need to grasp the concept that God is in complete control of all things. This is life changing and although it is a simple thing to believe it is a difficult one to accept and believe in the world we live in today.

We need to know the history of how the world started. How God is teaching us how to be through his examples. The God of the Old Testament is the same God in the New Testament. Once we know his character it will be easy to understand the New Testament.

To learn the history of how the world was started, to learn about God’s character and to start to build a strong foundation for out Christian beliefs. To learn how to handle many types of life situations.

That is our way of staying connected to the vine. Staying connected helps us make better choices with life situations.

To me it means to be quite and listen to God as well, praising him and in worship.

Spending time with God first thing in the morning sets the tone for my day. I pray driving to work as well.

Sometimes I find myself praying at work as well.

I am praying for my family members salvations. I wait with expectation that I will see it one day.

It shows us that God answers prayer on his timing. Keep asking and it will be done as long as it is aligned with the will of God.

I believe the rain would have come either way because God promised it. I feel it came on the same day because of Elijah’s perseverance in prayer.

Prayer is much more than requests and answers. It is about spending time with the Lord, praying for the needs of others, and building a relationship with God. It is about learning to speak with God, getting to know his character.

I have struggled with unanswered prayer. I have learned to give it to God and not struggle with anymore.

I now wait with expectation that one day my prayers will be answered.

We may not see our answers to prayer in our time but if they are lined with the will of God, it will be done on God’s time.

I am glad God did not grant my silly prayers. He saved me from a lot of hardship in life.

Because then the focus is on us and not on God. We do not want praise for fasting, we are doing it to build a deeper connection with God.

I forgot the most important one, Jesus fasted.

Moses fasted, Esther fasted, Daniel fasted and David fasted,

It is setting yourself up to hear and get deeper with God. Fasting is giving up something to get deeper into God’s word. It is a time to praise God and pray for your needs and the needs of others.

It honors God because we are being obedient to his word. We are uplifting other believers and non-believers.

I have experienced answered prayer. I have seen other lives being changed through prayer. I have seen healing through prayer. I have actually experienced healing through the prayer of others.

I have always had an issue with speaking in front of others and that is how I feel when I pray with others. I need to get over it and just do it more often. I feel a sense of accomplishment that I did something good for someone else.

It means the world to me when I see God moving in someone’s life because of my prayers.

God is good. I prayed for God to place me in a job that appreciated me and he did. That was almost 8 years ago and I still love my job.

It joys my heart that I am being covered in prayer. It makes me feel like the person praying for me cares for my well being.

I struggle with not giving him more time first thing in the morning. I pray, read the word and worship him every day.

What helps me is letting God help with the obstacle and not try to do it on my own.

If you knew how small is a mustard seed, then you know that a little faith can go a long way.

The Lord’s Prayer. It is the model on how we should pray and I have a soft spot for it because it was the first prayer I ever learned and remembered completely.

True prayer is about the condition of our heart. It is about building a relationship with our heavenly father and asking for his help with life situations.

When I was first saved I did feel this way. But as time goes on and you speak to God things start to change.

We are to pray without ceasing.

Knowing that God wants us to ask makes it easier to come to him often. We know that we can ask our Father for all things according to his will for us.

Dependence on God in prayer is important because our carnal nature makes us fail. We need the clarity and guidance that God gives us through his word and prayer.

I believe that seeking his face is just wanting to know him and his character. Seeking his hand is wanting him to help in a life situation, either for you or others.

I believe that praying is taking action to become closer to the Lord. It is also a means to ask for the Lord’s help in your life and situations.

Prayer is an essential part of the believers life. It is how we talk and get our guidance from the Lord.
